Chloe Ferry has shared a grim warning with her followers, after being left with ‘terrible scars’ on her face thanks to a popular cosmetic procedure.
The 26-year-old Geordie Shore star has urged people to be wary of fox eye surgery, sharing graphic footage and images of her face which has been left with scars and ‘dint’s seven months later. She has also revealed that she is ‘so self conscious about the outcome’ of the trendy treatment.
Chloe admitted on Thursday night that she was inspired to go under the knife, after former Big Brother housemate, Ryan Ruckledge, detailed a similar experience on ITV’s This Morning in June. However, her experiences with the surgery have left her with regret due to the ‘absolute hell’ she suffered.

The Mirror reports that the Geordie almost broke down in tears as she told of her traumatic tale, and how it’s impacted her confidence and mental health. Chloe also pre-empted a backlash to her story, claiming that people would say it was all her own fault – but admitted that she would never have had the procedure if she could turn back time.
“Please read the next story [praying-hands emoji],” the former Geordie Shore star began on her initial Instagram post. She continued: “Hi guys I’ve been putting this off for a bit now but after seeing Ryan going on This morning to speak about the fox eye trend I feel like I need to tell everyone about my experience and what has happened to myself.
“I had the same procedure as Ryan done seven months ago and still to this day I’m left with terrible scars on my face which may never go away. I’m seeing this procedure becoming increasingly more and more popular. This may not happen to everyone but as I’m left with scars seven months later I just wanted to take to social media just to let everyone know what had happened to myself.”
Chloe then showed a series of makeup-free clips, to show the true extent of her facial scarring. “I now have a dint in the side of my face,” the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant said.
The cosmetic surgery procedure, dubbed ‘fox eye surgery’, involves inserting biodegradable threads under the skin in an attempt to lift eyebrows – and is often said to be a minimally invasive treatment. However, This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left stunned in June, as former X Factor contestant Ryan discussed his order after opting to have the treatment.
Holly said that she winced when she read about Ryan’s story, accompanied by images of his post-surgery journey which flashed up on screen – he was heard to be saying: “Oh my God, imagine me trying to pull a fella looking like that! I look like an avatar!”
After sharing her own story on Thursday night, Chloe opened up about how the scarring has impacted her confidence. She added: “I’ve know their [sic] is worse things going on in the world but thought I had to speak about it now with me being left with scars seven months on.
“I don’t ever rate myself or anything but the only thing I ever thought was good about me was I had good skin and now it’s scarred, my job is to be filming all the time on tv, photoshoots etc and now I’m so self conscious about the outcome this has had on me.”
Filming herself with makeup on, Chloe continued to explain how she had been ‘putting off’ sharing her story for months amid backlash fears.
“I’ve kept on putting it off and off because I know when talking about this sort of stuff I always get backlash,” she told her followers.
“It always brings more stress to myself so I’ve just put it off for so long. But I’m literally just so done with it now,” she added, going on to explain how she had been motivated to speak out after her mum mentioned she could see her scar earlier in the day.
“I know I’m going to get so many people saying it’s my own fault and I shouldn’t have had it done – I know! I honestly wish I never did and If I could turn back time now, I would turn back in a heartbeat. But I didn’t expect when I was getting that treatment done that I would be left with permanent scars and a dint in the side of my face.”
She tearfully added: “I just want to make people aware that it hasn’t worked out for me. I’ve had absolute hell. I’ve been to hospital, I’ve been on tablets – just a lot.”
