King Viserys (Paddy Considine) was the character in question and it appeared he left more on display than intended.

Fans of the show will recall King Viserys began suffering with an infection at the beginning of the show which caused his flesh to be eaten away.

In the latest episode, set two years after the previous installment the condition has significantly worsened and has left him without two of his fingers.

As a result, crafty show editors have been able to remove the fingers on screen.

However, fans were quick to pick up when it appeared that one scene had slipped through the radar.

Actor Paddy can be seen wearing a purpose-made green screen glove placed on what should be his character’s two missing fingers but it appeared this time the scene got missed and producers forgot to edit out the embarrassing blunder.

Fans online were quick to pick up on the gaff with one saying “The CGI budget ran out. I saw the green sleeves on the king’s fingers when passing the paper.”

A second exclaimed: “Viserys must be great at gardening with those green fingers.”

The Game of Thrones spin-off is however in good hands as it is not the first time that producers have made an awkward editing mishap.

In 2019 fans were left bemused by an unfortunate editing error.

The infamous scene in question included a coffee cup being placed in front of Daenerys Targaryen during a banquet.

Addressing the gaffe, HBO revealed the cup was actually a craft services coffee cup, not Starbucks and added: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”
