With a stellar career of more than 15 years, Deepika Padukone is one of the most successful Indian actors. Her career trajectory is the ideal illustration of an actress who achieved success in the film business. She began by appearing in television commercials, modeling, and background dancing before landing a role in a Kannada movie and then starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the major Diwali blockbuster. In her distinguished career, the actress has been in a number of films that have become classics. Recently, the actress attended an event that was hosted by The Gem & Jewelery Export Promotion Council, in collaboration with the World Gold Council, as the chief guest after garnering media attention as the star of Mijwan 2022. The main goal of the event was to honor those who made a big influence on the world.

At the event, Deepika Padukone revisited her path when she was dealing with mental health issues and also spoke about the time when she was suicidal. Deepika stated, ” When I spoke about (my struggles with mental health) in 2014, I didn’t think I was brave and unusual. I was being honest in the sense that it changed my life forever. I remember, there were days when I would break down and would just want to sleep because it was an escape. It was probably my calling that even if by just speaking up if I was able to impact just one life, the purpose (of my life) would be solved.”

When the actress did an interview and publicly discussed her melancholy and mental challenges in 2014, she broke the chains and started a debate about it that was crucial and necessary. In the year 2022, Deepika Padukone has transformed into a champion for the cause of increasing the number of conversations about mental health. She also founded a non-profit organization that supports those battling mental health concerns.

Deepika has many projects in her kitty, she will be next seen in Pathaan opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Project K alongside Prabhas, and Siddharth Anand’s Fighter.
